Organización Latino Americana (OLA) of Eastern Long Island will celebrate 24 years of service to the East End community at its annual Sabor 2026 cocktail fundraiser on Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Church in Sag Harbor.
The event will bring together community leaders, advocates, artists, business owners and supporters to raise funds for OLA’s mission of building a safer, healthier and more equitable East End for Latinos and all residents.
This year’s event will be chaired by former New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele, a current member of OLA’s Board of Directors.
Guests will enjoy live music by Latin Moon, whose blend of Latin rhythms and jazz has become a hallmark of the annual celebration. The event will also feature a silent auction curated by artist and curator Yubal Márquez Fleites.
“Sabor is much more than a celebration,” said Minerva Perez, executive director of OLA. “It is one of the most important ways our community comes together to invest in the future of the East End. Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured, and every auction bid placed helps ensure that OLA can continue providing critical programs and advocacy for the families who rely on us.”
Perez said the event comes at a time when demand for OLA’s services continues to grow.
“The need for OLA’s work has never been greater,” she said. “From supporting immigrant families and expanding educational opportunities to developing community leaders and advocating for policies that strengthen the East End, our programs depend on the generosity of neighbors, businesses and community partners. Sabor is an opportunity for everyone who believes in a stronger, more inclusive East End to stand with us and help sustain that work.”
Founded 24 years ago, OLA of Eastern Long Island works to strengthen communities through advocacy, leadership development, education, cultural programming and civic engagement. Funds raised through Sabor directly support year-round initiatives including family support services, youth leadership programs, educational advocacy, civic participation efforts and community-building programs across the East End.
Sabor 2026 will be held at The Church, located at 48 Madison Street in Sag Harbor. Tickets are $300 per person and must be purchased in advance.

I recently attended a Doodle Baseball local event that emphasized community spirit, and the impact was incredible. Perhaps incorporating community stories into your promotions could deepen connections even further. Keep inspiring change!
