An immigration advocate says ICE was in Greenport Sunday and several people were deported.

Minerva Perez, executive director of OLA of Eastern Long Island described it as an “indiscriminate raid.”

“It is outrageously frightening," she said. “These were folks that were just sort of randomly picked out. These were not targeted situations.”

Members of immigrant communities in the East End village are now on edge.

News 12 spoke to a young man who said he’s undocumented.

He described the difficulty of coming to the U.S. and said he sacrificed a lot.

He said ICE was very close to his home Sunday, but he is OK.

News 12 reached out to ICE but has not received a response.
